Stéphanie, my office colleague told me that I'm too feminist because I said that social bonds between genders are always, always implied in any type of social relation whatsoever.

If I understand your friend Stephanie's remark, she is right. For men, at least, their is always a sexual undertone to relationships with women of all ages. With skill and patience they wait for the woman to give the clues.
The English can be a repressed lot!!
